Vow Renewals
The I Do, still.
Vow renewals are very special, and there are so many different reasons couples wish to renew their vows. Milestone anniversaries worth celebrating. A marriage that took place overseas, which you would like to reaffirm in front of family and friends. Or a relationship that has come through serious illness or a personal crisis, and wants to say those words again.
Just like any other ceremony we can include rituals and readings, and bring your children and grandchildren into it.
It is really beautiful to see rings exchanged in a vow renewal, because the ring is an unbroken circle. The love you have for each other, still.
Commitment Ceremonies
Expressing your love and devotion to your partner in front of the people you love is a wonderful thing. Although a commitment ceremony is not a wedding and is not legally binding, it is a commitment from the heart, a bonding of your love to each other.
It is significant, because it recognises the change and the transition you have made together as a couple.
We will work together on the rituals, the readings and your own words of commitment. It can be a union or a blessing, and either way the intent is the same.
Naming Ceremonies
Welcoming a new baby into the world and into the family is a time honoured tradition, blessing your child with his or her name. A naming ceremony is a lovely alternative to a christening or a baptism.
Family traditions and rituals matter here, because they are so often passed down through generations.
The commitments made by the guardians are a treasured part of the day. They are entrusted with a great honour and a real responsibility in that child's life, and it is as important to them as it is to the parents.
We will put together a ceremony that holds all of the traditions your family carries, and makes the day one to celebrate.
